I have recently taken to admiring the absurdity of life. Sometimes blatant and sometimes more subtle the pages of human existence are filled with the absurd. I have decided to think of these encounters with the ridiculous as bizarre teaching aids used in the divine comedy of life. So here is the first installment of Life Lessons:
I was in the library when we who were reading near an unconscious bibliophile learned that it is not a great idea to fall asleep in a library. Two reasons for this became apparent, 1) watching you drool or betting on when your head will loll and hit the table is often more interesting than the books people reading and 2) in the silence of a library everyone can hear the noises your body makes that you would hope to prevent it making were you awake to stop it. Now, if you don't mind performing the occasional organ recital in the library or public drooling, then by all means pull up a chair and set your alarm for your next class. Life teaches that when sleeping in the library you may awake to stifled snickering or a new nickname but sometimes a good nap is worth it so, sweet dreams.
